Privacy policy
Effective and last updated: 12 October 2026
Go MatiQ Inc., which uses MatiQ and MatiQ Inc. as its consulting brand, operates matiqinc.com. This policy explains how Go MatiQ Inc. collects, uses, discloses, protects and retains personal information through this website. It does not govern the Go MatiQ software platform, which has its own privacy policy at gomatiq.com/legal/privacy.
Information this policy covers
Go MatiQ Inc. collects the following categories of information through this website:
- Inquiry information: a visitor’s name, email address, organization, service interests, training audience, message and any details the visitor chooses to provide.
- Inquiry administration: the inquiry reference, delivery status, assigned staff, follow-up notes, status, closure date and whether the inquiry became client work.
- Technical and security information: request timestamps, network and device information needed to deliver the site, diagnose failures and limit abusive submissions.
- Optional analytics: when a visitor allows analytics, page paths, general referral source, language, broad device information and events such as a completed inquiry or resource download. Go MatiQ Inc. does not send inquiry contents to analytics.
- Direct communications: information a person sends by email, telephone or another direct communication.
Go MatiQ Inc. collects information directly from visitors, automatically from a visitor’s browser and network when needed to operate the site, and from referral parameters in a link a visitor follows after allowing analytics.
How Go MatiQ Inc. uses information
Go MatiQ Inc. uses personal information to:
- receive, route and respond to inquiries;
- discuss potential work and prepare for a requested conversation;
- operate, secure, maintain and improve the website;
- measure website use when the visitor has allowed analytics;
- keep appropriate business, tax, legal and audit records; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims and comply with law.
Submitting an inquiry does not create a client relationship. Information handled during a consulting engagement is governed by the signed agreement for that engagement, including any applicable confidentiality or data protection terms.
Analytics and browser choices
Optional analytics remains off until the visitor chooses to allow it. If allowed, the site loads a first-party analytics service hosted on infrastructure controlled by Go MatiQ Inc. Go MatiQ Inc. does not use cross-site advertising trackers and honors the browser's Do Not Track setting for this analytics service. A visitor can change the choice through the Analytics preferences control in the footer area of the site. The preference is stored in the visitor’s browser.
When Go MatiQ Inc. discloses information
Go MatiQ Inc. may disclose personal information to:
- Microsoft and other service providers that support hosting, storage, email delivery, security and business operations;
- professional advisers when reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, insurance or security matters;
- government authorities or other parties when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety and security; and
- a buyer, successor or participant in a corporate transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
Go MatiQ Inc. does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use personal information from this site for targeted advertising or qualifying profiling decisions.
How long Go MatiQ Inc. keeps information
- Closed inquiries that do not become client work are removed from the active website inquiry system twelve (12) months after closure.
- Active inquiries remain while Go MatiQ Inc. is responding and evaluating possible work.
- Records connected to client work are retained under the applicable agreement and Go MatiQ Inc.’s legal, accounting and business record requirements.
- Security logs, consent choices and analytics records are kept only for the period reasonably needed for security, measurement and troubleshooting, subject to the settings of the systems that hold them.
- Backups and recoverable copies may remain for a limited period until they are overwritten under the applicable backup schedule.
Go MatiQ Inc. may retain information longer when required by law, a legal hold or a dispute. Go MatiQ Inc. may delete information earlier when it is no longer needed.
Privacy rights
Depending on the individual’s location and subject to legal exceptions, the individual may have the right to confirm whether Go MatiQ Inc. processes the individual’s information, access or receive a copy, correct it, delete it, obtain information about third parties to which it was disclosed, or appeal a decision about a request. The individual may also have rights to opt out of sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling. Go MatiQ Inc. does not use information from this site for those activities.
Send a request or appeal to [email protected]. Describe the request and the email address or inquiry reference involved. Go MatiQ Inc. may take reasonable steps to verify the requester’s identity and authority while avoiding unnecessary collection. Go MatiQ Inc. will respond within the period required by applicable law. A person will not be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.
Security
Go MatiQ Inc. uses administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information it handles, including restricted staff access and protected storage.
